I am a researcher in geochemistry/astrobiology at Stockholm University with focus on the biological use of stable nickel isotopes. The goal is to investigate the stable nickel isotopic uptake of different microorganisms and to investigate the possibilities to analyze isotopes in situ in rock samples. This method could be used when analyzing rock samples in space when looking for biomarkers. I study both solid samples and living microorganisms to understand the fractionation processes of Ni on earth and in space. In my work, I collaborate with the Swedish Museum of Natural History, University of Bern, University of Bristol and University of Western Australia.
